PoLICE Protocol Feature

(Proof of Location, Identity, Contact & Expiration)

MAEGIC cryptocurrency & blockchain Technologies run on PoLICE protocol, (PoliceProtocol.org) which is still undergoing development by Cre8ive Productions, Sales & Service, Inc. and their partners but the main idea is to offer everyone an option to help secure and vote on the governance of their network. MAEGIC is localizing most of these Technologies so the first thing that a user will need to do is join their local network, location is NOT optional. After a user specifies their location, (city/town) they must also provide some other proofs listed below to participate on networks that use PoLICE protocol. MAEGIC is being developed for all non malicious humans, we do not care where on this rock we call earth that they are occupying space and will do everything in our power to protect them from less evolved humans/governments that still act with divisive intent.

Proof of Location is the first thing a user will need to provide in order to download and install MAEGIC. During the beta, we will only be allowing users that verify their address through a postal service. This will also be how we send security files to users so they can connect to MAEGIC and their local network. If a user decides that they want to secure large data on the network, we can also send their security files with any data that they purchase a storage device for. Cre8ive Productions, Sales & Service, Inc. has been contracted to handle location verification and data distribution on behalf of MAEGIC, Ltd. and their partners, please visit their eBay store until a commerce and file/data distribution solution can be written into MAEGIC.

Proof of Identity can be fictitious information however users that create legitimate profiles using their true identity will gain more trust and get a lot more out of the network. For example, if a user provides as much information about their identity as possible, other users such as family, friends and colleagues that add any of that information to their network will make it a lot easier to police users that are trying to steal identities. MAEGIC does not store any personal information on their public network unless it is paid by that user to do so, it only stores hashes of personal information and the networks that host it which is used to help keep non malicious users safe. Grace distribution share, (contribution based welfare) is another benefit of using legitimate identity information, identities with low consensus will receive little to none of the Grace pool when it's distributed.

Proof of Contact is just a method of verifying contact information users want associated with their location such as an email address and the time that information was verified to be legitimate on chain. MAEGIC encourages users to add multiple methods of contact to their location for better security, this contact information is also used to build up consensus on identities to help prevent fraudulent activity. If a user should happen to lose access to all contact methods that they have associated with their location, they will be required to obtain new security files through their postal service at their expense. MAEGIC is being developed to incentivize creating affordable housing for people, we are trying to create a future where it will become profitable to buy land with the intention of building homes that have small networks to help power the Internet and provide additional Technology services. Until that day comes, we will also try to develop methods to allow users to join networks of people that trust them and charity networks for people that can't find anyone to add them.

Proof of Expiration is the final method used in PoLICE protocol to verify accounts and also determine if they are still active on the network, this occurs after the proof of contact process is completed. Once a user verifies their contact information for a location, they are then sent an encrypted expiration from a network that they trust which is used to activate the account. This expiration also triggers certain actions to be taken once an account reaches the expiration. What this does aside from providing ownership proof of an account, is prevent an accumulation of funds becoming unaccessible on the network over time. Users will eventually be able to specify heirs to pass these funds on to when their accounts expire and if there are no heirs set for an account, the funds then get sent to the location of the account. If for some reason a location becomes no longer available on the network, the expired account funds get redistributed back into the economy through the grace pool.

PoLICE Protocol Time Minting:

PoLICE protocol uses a unique time format when it comes to generating it's chain Technologies. Every year is referred to as an "Orbit" and each has eight "Phases" that are calculated by dividing the seconds in a year by eight. So for a leap year, the Orbit would have 31,622,400 seconds, (86,400 seconds in a day times 366 days) instead of the 31,536,000 seconds in a normal 365 day year. The math for each Orbit Phase works out to 3,952,800 seconds for leap years and 3,942,000, (45.625 days) for normal years. Every time frame below is also divided by eight, the next frame down which is referred to as a "Cycle" works out to 492,750 seconds and is around 5.7 days in a normal year. Each Cycle will have eight "Spans" that are 61,593.75 seconds long which works out to around 17.1 hours. Each Span has eight "Tours" that were named after it's time frame which is about 2.14 hours, (7,699.21875 seconds). Each Tour has eight "Forges" of 962.40234375 seconds, (around 16 minutes) and each Forge has eight "Mints" of 120.30029296875 seconds which works out to around 2 minutes. Seconds are referred to as "Nicks" of time and they are the same span as a second. PoLICE Protocol uses this time format with each frame performing different types of tasks to secure the chain, we'll provide more details about chain generation after beta testing different models.
